About me

My name is Beatriz Lugo I am from Colombia although I have been living in Miami Florida for several years which means that my roots and my surroundings are present all over my work mainly through vibrant and brilliant colors. I started painting late in my life but this has not been an impediment for art become my passion.

​I paint in a bright and colorful style, mainly floral acrylic on canvas buzzing with energy and color,  I’m not as concerned with capturing  subject matter exactly as you see it, but instead, I focus on capturing feeling and meaning.  Painting brings me peace, joy, freedom and an opportunity to celebrate beauty around.
